(i should really put a photo here or something, right? lol oops.)

ok so not gonna lie… i’m terrible at introductions, & i’ve been editing this page on and off for the past two years since i started my blog. but here goes the 1023912039843th attempt to vaguely summarize the essence of myself in a bunch of typed characters strung together.

yo! i’m roxanne, a 15-year-old left-handed girl from South East Asia (SEA). i’m mostly a mess but sometimes i blog, make things & take photos. :>

you’ll soon notice that i like to use a lot of filler words in my posts, i always type in lowercase, & i use ampersands in place of the word “and” most of the time.

oh, and i have a really lovely pupper called matcha!! he’s legit the most endearing thing ever & i could wax lyrical about him for hours. you can find photos of him popping up occasionally on my blog & instagram. ; – )

besides matcha himself (duh), i’m really in love with design and pretty stuff. i like to think that my aesthetic is something that constantly evolves, but for now it consists of mustard yellows and pale blues, quaint cafes and a lot of bright sunshine captured on camera.

i’m also crazy about dance, horses, short naps, matcha & lavender-flavoured food, soft / plush things, staying up late, and a LOT of stationery. (my friends know they can bribe me to do most things with the offer of free notebooks.)

i know that’s not much to go by, but hey- i think you’ll get to know much more about me from reading my blog. : – ) i’m really glad you stumbled upon this hyperlink on the internet & took the time to read my thoughts!

(a little bit of a back story about my blog?? ok. i’ll try to cover that.)

^my thoughts when i wrote this section… lol.

as far as i can remember i’ve always been pretty darn obsessed with the romantic notion of creating content. i’ve got lil memories of writing magazines, pretending to film youtube videos (oh… the dark days) and basically doing all sorts of creative projects, but i also never rly got too far with them before they, uh, flopped.

as i grew older, i realized i did less and less creating purely because i was too afraid?? worried?? or something – that my ideas would lose momentum after a while.

i guess it was in late april 2015, that i finally decided “enough was enough”. i had spent too long holding myself back because i was just too scared to commit. it wasn’t a sudden, momentary decision, but after a lil bit of planning, The Magical Canopy materialised! (and you can read more about my blog origins in a very outdated and cringey post here hahah)

this blog was originally started with the intention of sharing lots of freebies and printables; and while i still love that concept it’s mostly broadened into sharing more of inspiration, photography, design and just generally aesthetically-pleasing things. yEs i know those are probably the vaguest blog categories you’re ever gonna hear of but at the same time this blog is a rly happy and inspiring place for me to create pretty things.

i’m really happy with where it’s going at the moment & i hope every one of you who reads it feels the same way too! 🙂 (yay for visually appealing blogs btw)
